Grzegorz Olkiewicz
Grzegorz Olkiewicz, a renowned Polish flutist and pedagogue, was born on April 6, 1959, in Katowice. He began his musical journey at the Katowice Music Lyceum under the guidance of Antoni Rog. By the age of 18, he had already made a name for himself as a soloist with the Silesian Philharmonic. Olkiewicz's career was marked by international recognition, with him being one of the most identifiable Polish flutists worldwide. He left behind a significant artistic legacy, including numerous recordings and performances. Olkiewicz also dedicated himself to teaching, sharing his expertise at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
