Dominik Wollenweber is a renowned German musician, celebrated for his mastery of the English horn (cor anglais) and oboe. Born in 1967 in Gräfeling, Germany, Wollenweber's musical journey began with the flute, followed by the oboe at the age of 14. He honed his skills at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium, studying under esteemed mentors Hagen Wangenheim and Simon Dent.

Wollenweber's impressive career includes serving as the Principal Oboist of the European Union Youth Orchestra under the legendary Claudio Abbado. Since 1993, he has been the dedicated English horn player for the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing his exceptional talent in chamber music and orchestral performances. His artistry extends to performing concertos, including the Concerto for Cor Anglais, Strings, and Basso Continuo in G Major, captivating audiences with his profound musicality.
