Angelo Verploegen is a versatile Dutch jazz trumpeter, flugelhorn player, and composer, born on December 22, 1961, in Oss. With a career spanning over three decades, Angelo has made a significant impact on the Dutch jazz scene. He studied Musicology at the University of Amsterdam and trumpet at the conservatories of Arnhem and Utrecht, where he later became a professor. Angelo's music is known for its sensitivity and lyrical quality, as evidenced by his album "When Night Falls," a beautiful ode to the night in all its forms. Beyond his exceptional playing, Angelo is also a prolific producer and initiator of diverse musical projects, showcasing his wide range of talents.
