À propos Alfred Deller

Alfred Deller, né le 31 mai 1912 à Margate en Angleterre, était un contre-ténor et chef d'orchestre britannique renommé, célèbre pour sa voix unique et son interprétation des musiques médiévales et du chant grégorien. Dès son enfance, il chantait dans les chœurs d'église, et sa carrière professionnelle a commencé à s'épanouir après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. En 1948, il forma le légendaire Alfred Deller Consort, un groupe qui a contribué à populariser la musique ancienne. Deller a également signé ses premiers disques pour His Master's Voice entre 1949 et 1954, avec Desmond Dupré comme partenaire principal. Sa carrière s'est étendue jusqu'à sa mort en 1979, laissant derrière lui un héritage musical inestimable.
