Spinvis

Spinvis, the enigmatic Dutch musician, is the solo project of Erik de Jong, a multi-talented artist born in Spijkenisse in 1961. With a background in composition from the Amsterdam conservatory, Spinvis has carved out a unique niche in the Dutch music scene over the past two decades. Known for his experimental lo-fi sound, Spinvis blends elements of indietronica, experimental pop, and neo-psychedelia to create a rich and eclectic musical landscape. His debut album, released in 2002, marked the beginning of a prolific career that has seen him release multiple albums, each offering a fresh and innovative take on pop music. Spinvis' live performances are equally captivating, often featuring a backing band that includes cello, vocals, and synths, adding depth and texture to his solo work.
