Lars Hannibal

Lars Hannibal is a renowned Danish classical guitarist and lutenist, born in Aarhus in 1951. His musical journey began at the age of 15 when he picked up the folk/rock guitar, but it was hearing Andrés Segovia that inspired his transition to classical guitar. Hannibal is celebrated for his collaborations with his ex-wife, the acclaimed recorder player Michala Petri, with whom he formed the Petri/Hannibal Duo. Together, they have toured the world for over three decades, enchanting audiences with their unique blend of classical and dansktop genres. Beyond his performing career, Hannibal is also the founder and CEO of the recording company OUR Recordings, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit alongside his musical prowess. His work has earned him a place as a voting member of the Grammy New York Chapter, further cementing his influence in the music industry.
