Marshall Allen

Marshall Allen, born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1924, is a pioneering figure in the world of free jazz and avant-garde music. He is best known as the leader of the Sun Ra Arkestra, a position he has held for nearly three decades, and has been a member since 1957.
