      About William Lloyd Webber

      William Lloyd Webber, born in London in 1914, was an accomplished English organist and composer who made significant contributions to the modern classical music scene. Despite his shy and withdrawn nature, Lloyd Webber's talent for organ playing was prodigious, earning him a scholarship to the Mercer's School. His compositions, ranging from choral pieces to instrumental items, reflect his deep musicality and dedication to his craft. Lloyd Webber's career spanned many years, during which he also served as a respected teacher at the Royal College of Music. Beyond his musical achievements, he is also known for being the father of the renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and the celebrated cellist Julian Lloyd Webber. His work, including the album "Invocation," continues to be celebrated for its artistic merit, inviting listeners to explore the rich tapestry of his musical legacy.
