      Bill Heid is an American jazz pianist and organist, born on August 11, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With a career spanning decades, Heid has become a renowned figure in the world of soul jazz, hard bop, and blues. Inspired by the rich jazz heritage of Pittsburgh, he honed his skills in the city's vibrant music scene. Heid's virtuosic playing and soulful expressions have graced stages across the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, and the Far East, including a notable three-year stint abroad. His extensive discography includes recordings on prestigious labels like HighNote/Savant and Doodlin' Records. Beyond his musical prowess, Heid is also an expert in audio drama, serving as the Executive Producer at Heirloom Audio Productions. His brother is George Heid.
