      About Mal Waldron

      Mal Waldron was a pioneering American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger, born in New York City in 1925. His career spanned over five decades, marked by his distinctive style and significant contributions to the genre. Waldron began his professional journey in the 1950s, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the New York jazz scene. He collaborated with legendary artists such as Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and Billie Holiday, among others.
