      Michael Rose, born on 11 July 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a celebrated reggae singer-songwriter renowned for his powerful vocals and distinctive style. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the legendary reggae group Black Uhuru from 1977 to 1984, during which the band won the first-ever Reggae Grammy. Known for his militant, hardcore Jamaican music, Michael Rose has captivated audiences worldwide for over 25 years with his soulful and energetic performances. His music spans genres like roots reggae, dub, and ragga, showcasing his versatility and deep roots in Jamaican music.
