      About Vladimir Orloff

      Vladimir Orloff, born in Odessa, Ukraine, in 1928, was a renowned cellist and dedicated music educator whose career spanned continents and decades. Graduating from the Bucharest Conservatory, Orloff's early success was marked by numerous competition wins in the late 1950s. His professional journey took him to the prestigious Vienna Philharmonic, where he served from 1964 to 1971, before moving to Canada in 1977. Orloff's impact on the music world was profound, not only through his captivating performances but also through his teaching roles at the Vienna Academy and the University of Toronto. His legacy includes a rich discography that showcases his virtuosity and artistic depth, making him a beloved figure among classical music enthusiasts.
