      About Laurent Korcia

      Laurent Korcia is a celebrated French violinist renowned for his technical prowess and distinctive musical interpretations. Born in Paris in 1964, Korcia honed his skills at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he earned a Premier Prix. His early career was marked by a series of prestigious awards, including victories at the Paganini Competition in Genoa, the Jacques Thibaud Competition, and the Zino Francescatti Competition. He has since performed as a soloist with some of the world's most esteemed orchestras, collaborating with renowned conductors such as Valéry Gergiev, Charles Dutoit, and Kurt Masur.

      Korcia's performances are noted for their emotional depth and technical brilliance. He plays a 1719 Stradivarius violin, which he has performed on since winning the Paganini Competition. His repertoire spans both classical and contemporary works, and he is known for his innovative programming, which often includes lesser-known pieces alongside well-loved classics. Whether performing solo or with an orchestra, Korcia's dynamic stage presence and rich, expressive tone captivate audiences worldwide.
