      Album Details

Dive into the rich tapestry of classical music with Artur Rodzinski's "Twilight Concert 2," a captivating collection of remastered orchestral works released on April 23, 2021, under the prestigious Sony Classical label. This 45-minute journey features nine meticulously curated tracks, each a testament to Rodzinski's mastery as a conductor.

The album opens with the lively "Orphée aux enfers: Overture" by Jacques Offenbach, setting the stage for a symphonic adventure. It continues with César Franck's "Symphony in D Minor: II. Allegretto," a piece that showcases the orchestra's delicate nuances. The enchanting "Trois nocturnes, L. 91: No. 2 Fêtes" by Gabriel Fauré follows, adding a touch of elegance and romance.

Sergei Prokofiev's "Love for Three Oranges Suite, Op. 33a" is represented by two vibrant tracks: the energetic "March" and the whimsical "Scherzo." George Gershwin's iconic "Porgy and Bess, Act I: Summertime" is beautifully rendered, highlighting the album's diverse repertoire.

The album also includes the lively "Hora staccato" by Grigoras Dinicu, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's evocative "Scheherazade, Op. 35: III. The Young Prince and the Young Princess," and Reinhold Glière's rousing "The Red Poppy, Op. 70: Russian Sailor's Dance." Each piece is performed with precision and passion by the Columbia Symphony Orchestra, with Genevieve Rowe adding her vocal prowess to the mix.

"Twilight Concert 2" is a celebration of classical music's enduring appeal, offering a blend of familiar favorites and hidden gems. Whether you're a seasoned classical enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album promises an enriching and enjoyable listening experience.
