      Album Details

Manfred Trojahn's operatic masterpiece, 'Enrico', is a dramatic comedy that showcases the composer's mastery of vocal music. First performed at the Schwetzingen Festival in 1991, this two-part opera is based on a libretto by H. C. Henneberg, inspired by the works of Luigi Pirandello.

This album, released on 1 July 2013 by CPO, features a stunning performance of 'Enrico', with a duration of 1 hour and 32 minutes. The tracklist takes the listener through a series of scenes, each one expertly crafted to convey the complexities of the story. From the opening notes of "… und das ist der Thronsale" to the final moments of "Ja, und Du mein Kind", Trojahn's music is a testament to his skill as a composer.

With its unique blend of drama and comedy, 'Enrico' is an opera that will appeal to fans of classical music and theatre alike. Manfred Trojahn's work is characterised by its nuance and depth, making this album a must-listen for anyone looking to experience the best of contemporary classical music. The album is a showcase of Trojahn's ability to craft compelling characters and storylines, set to music that is both beautiful and thought-provoking.
