      Tossy Spivakovsky, the Russian Empire-born, German-trained violin virtuoso, captivated audiences worldwide as one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century. Born Nathan Spivakovsky in 1906, he was a child prodigy, earning distinction across Europe by the age of 10. Trained by renowned musicians Arrigo Serato and Willy Hess, Spivakovsky's innovative bowing style set him apart. He served as concertmaster under the legendary Wilhelm Furtwängler and later taught at the prestigious Juilliard School.
