      Gene Harris, born Eugene Haire in 1933, was a beloved American jazz pianist celebrated for his warm, soulful sound that seamlessly blended blues and gospel influences. Beginning his musical journey at the tender age of six, Harris honed a style that was both accessible and sophisticated, making him one of the most approachable jazz pianists of his time.
