The Last Mimzy - Howard Shore

      Album Details

Howard Shore's enchanting soundtrack, The Last Mimzy, is a captivating companion to the 2007 film of the same name. This 50-minute album, released on 20 March 2007 via WaterTower Music, is a masterful blend of hope and optimism, perfectly encapsulating the movie's uplifting spirit.

With 16 beautifully crafted tracks, including 'The Mandala', 'Whidbey Island', and 'Hello (I Love You)', Shore's distinctive voice shines through, bringing warmth and depth to the score. His work on The Lord of the Rings clearly impressed Robert Shaye, the director of The Last Mimzy, who enlisted Shore's talents to create a unique and intimate soundtrack.

The Last Mimzy, based on Henry Kuttner's 1943 story 'Mimsy Were the Borogroves', is a heartwarming tale that explores the boundaries of imagination and reality. Shore's score, with its gentle and soothing melodies, perfectly complements the film's themes, creating a sense of wonder and enchantment.

This album is a must-listen for fans of Howard Shore and soundtrack enthusiasts alike. With its beautiful, evocative music, The Last Mimzy is a testament to Shore's skill as a composer, and a delightful addition to any music collection.
