      About Arturo Toscanini

      Arturo Toscanini, born in 1867, stands as one of the most celebrated and influential conductors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Renowned for his intense passion and virtuosity, Toscanini began his conducting career at the remarkable age of 19. His journey took him from touring South America as a cellist to becoming one of the most acclaimed musicians of his time. Throughout his illustrious career, he conducted over 400 concerts at Carnegie Hall, culminating in his final performance with the NBC Symphony in April 1954 at the age of 87.
