      The Betrayal - Howard Shore

      Album Details

Composed by the renowned Howard Shore, "The Betrayal (Nerakhoon)" is a captivating soundtrack that accompanies the critically acclaimed documentary of the same name. Released on February 24, 2009, under Howe Records, this 45-minute album is a testament to Shore's versatility and depth as a composer. The soundtrack features 17 tracks that beautifully complement the film's narrative, which spans decades and continents, chronicling a family's resilience and the enduring bonds they share.

"The Betrayal (Nerakhoon)" is not your typical soundtrack. It is a profound exploration of human experience, set against the backdrop of historical and political turmoil. The album opens with "The Prophecy" and takes the listener through a journey of life, loss, and redemption with tracks like "A Soldier's Wife," "The Kingdom of Laos," and "War." Each piece is meticulously crafted to evoke the film's themes of betrayal, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit of the human heart.

The album features the esteemed Eesti Filharmoonia Kammerkoor and the ERSO, conducted by Howard Shore himself, adding a layer of richness and authenticity to the score. Whether you're a fan of Howard Shore's work, a lover of documentary films, or simply appreciate a well-crafted soundtrack, "The Betrayal (Nerakhoon)" is an album that stands out in its ability to tell a story through music.
