      Ivry Gitlis (1922-2020) was a legendary Israeli violinist renowned for his virtuosity, idiosyncratic style, and fearless approach to music. Born in Haifa, Gitlis began his musical journey at the age of five and quickly made a name for himself, performing with the world's top orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and Berlin Philharmonic.
