      About Aage Kvalbein

      Aage Kvalbein, born in Oslo on 29 March 1947, is a celebrated Norwegian cellist and esteemed professor of cello at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Renowned for his contributions to the classical music scene, Kvalbein made history as the first professor of cello in Norway at the young age of 33. His extensive discography includes notable works like "Franske Mirakler" and "Sanger Fra En Cello," showcasing his mastery of modern classical music. Beyond his musical prowess, Kvalbein is also known for his personal life, being married to the acclaimed Norwegian actress Mari Maurstad.
