      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of classical piano with Cecile Ousset's exquisite 1991 album, featuring two of the most beloved piano concertos in the repertoire. This album showcases Ousset's virtuosity and deep musical insight, as she navigates the dramatic and lyrical landscapes of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-Flat Minor, Op. 23, and Schumann's Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54.

Tchaikovsky's concerto, a staple of the romantic piano concerto repertoire, is a tour de force of emotion and technical brilliance. Ousset's interpretation brings out the work's dramatic contrasts and lyrical beauty, from the majestic opening of the first movement to the fiery finale. The Schumann concerto, on the other hand, is a more introspective work, filled with poetic melodies and subtle nuances. Ousset's playing is both delicate and powerful, capturing the essence of Schumann's unique musical language.

Recorded with the Orchestre National de France under the baton of Gilbert Amy, this album is a testament to Ousset's artistry and her ability to connect with the music on a profound level. The sound quality is excellent, allowing the listener to appreciate every detail of Ousset's playing and the orchestra's rich, warm tone.

Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album is sure to delight and inspire. Cecile Ousset's performances are not to be missed, and this album is a perfect introduction to her remarkable talent.
