With a career spanning over five decades, Clarke has revolutionized the role of the bass guitar in jazz and fusion music, becoming the first jazz-fusion bassist to headline global tours and achieve gold record status. His virtuosic playing style, characterized by rapid patterns and innovative slapping techniques, has influenced generations of musicians.
