      Album Details

"Some Other Spring" is a captivating jazz album by Perico Sambeat, released on February 15, 1999, under the Satchmo Jazz Records label. This 10-track collection, spanning a total of 61 minutes, is a testament to Sambeat's prowess as a saxophonist and his ability to blend traditional jazz with contemporary influences. The album opens with the title track, "Some Other Spring," a classic jazz standard that sets the tone for the rest of the record. Throughout the album, Sambeat and Barth navigate through a mix of well-known jazz pieces like "Saint Louis Blues" and "April in Paris," as well as lesser-known gems like "Dahíz" and "Remember Rockefeller at Attica." Each track showcases the duo's exceptional musicianship and their knack for infusing fresh energy into familiar tunes.

Sambeat's saxophone playing is a highlight, with his smooth, melodic lines and expressive phrasing taking center stage. Barth's piano work is equally impressive, providing a solid foundation and adding delicate nuances that complement Sambeat's playing. The chemistry between the two musicians is palpable, making "Some Other Spring" a delightful listen from start to finish.
