      Album Details

Enjott Schneider's 'Metamorphosen' is a captivating album that showcases the composer's unique ability to transform and reimagine well-known works from music history. Released on 18 July 2014 by Wergo, this album is the first instalment in a ten-part edition dedicated to Enjott Schneider's compositions.

The album features six tracks, including 'At the Edge of Time - Reflections About Mozart's Requiem, K. 626' and 'Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott', which demonstrate Enjott Schneider's creative response to the works of renowned composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Robert Schumann. The 'Ein ewig Rätsel will ich bleiben: Ein Ludwig II-Epitaph' trilogy, consisting of three parts, is also a notable highlight of the album.

With a duration of 1 hour and 5 minutes, 'Metamorphosen' is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged musical experience. The Tonkünstler Orchestra Austria, conducted by Xincao Li, and soloist Christoph Hartmann on the English horn, bring Enjott Schneider's visionary compositions to life. 'Metamorphosen' is an essential listening experience for fans of classical music and those interested in exploring the boundaries of creative expression.
