      About Anthony Louis Scarmolin

      Anthony Louis Scarmolin (1890-1969) was a versatile Italian-American composer, pianist, and conductor whose prolific career spanned a wide range of classical genres. Born in Schio, Italy, and later residing in Wyckoff, New Jersey, Scarmolin's musical output was vast, including eight operas, numerous orchestral works, songs, sacred music, chamber music, and solo piano pieces. His compositions, totaling over 1,100 works, reflect a deep musicality and a rich pedagogical tradition. Among his notable contributions are his three symphonies, which are now available for the first time on a commercial recording. Scarmolin's legacy continues to be promoted by the A. Louis Scarmolin Trust, ensuring that his music reaches new audiences and remains a vital part of the classical repertoire.
