      Album Details

"Samanfuga" is a captivating classical music album composed by Magnar Åm, released in 2006 under the Nordic Sound label. This impressive collection of organ works showcases Åm's intricate compositions, performed masterfully by Kåre Nordstoga. The album spans a duration of 1 hour and 10 minutes, featuring 10 tracks that delve into themes of unity, paradox, and spiritual mysticism.

The album opens with "Dagen Viker Og Går Bort," a study for organ based on a hymn tone from Luster, setting a contemplative tone for the journey ahead. It is followed by the three-part "Unio Mystica," which explores the depths of human solitude and divine illumination. The five-part "5 Paradoks" series presents a series of thought-provoking musical paradoxes, culminating in a profound meditation on the cyclical nature of existence. The album concludes with "Århundra Samanfuga," a grand fusion of centuries-old musical traditions.

Magnar Åm, born in 1952, is a renowned Norwegian composer whose works have been performed and recorded by distinguished artists. His collaboration with organist Kåre Nordstoga on "Samanfuga" results in a powerful and evocative listening experience that highlights the expressive capabilities of the organ. This album is a testament to Åm's compositional skill and Nordstoga's virtuosity, offering a rich and rewarding exploration of modern classical music.
