      About Juan Diego Flórez

      Juan Diego Flórez, born in Lima, Peru, is a celebrated operatic tenor renowned for his exceptional vocal range and dynamic performances. Particularly known for his roles in bel canto operas, Flórez's fluid, expressive singing and dazzling virtuosity have captivated audiences worldwide. His musical journey began in Lima and continued at the prestigious Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. Beyond his operatic prowess, Flórez is also the President of Sinfonia por el Peru and the Artistic Director of the Rossini Opera Festival. In 2007, he was honored with Peru's highest decoration, the Knight Grand Cross in the Order of the Sun of Peru, underscoring his significant contributions to the world of opera. Flórez's discography includes a variety of albums, showcasing his versatility and deep connection to his musical roots.
