      Alan Rawsthorne, a prominent British composer born in Haslingden, Lancashire in 1905, left an indelible mark on the world of classical music with his finely structured and disciplined compositions. Initially exploring careers in dentistry and architecture, Rawsthorne ultimately found his calling in music, studying in both Manchester and Berlin.
