With a career spanning over four decades, Alden has established himself as a versatile and virtuosic musician, known for his exceptional soloing and accompaniment styles, characterized by an unerring sense of swing and a deep allegiance to the song. He began his musical journey at the age of ten, initially playing piano, harmonica, tenor guitar, and banjo before discovering the six-string guitar and the works of jazz greats like Barney Kessel, Charlie Christian, and Django Reinhardt.
