Spanning nearly five hours, this album is a testament to Nelsova's virtuosity and her deep connection with the cello. Recorded in 2015, this release brings together a diverse range of concertos, sonatas, and suites that showcase Nelsova's technical prowess and musical sensitivity.

The album opens with Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104, a work that highlights Nelsova's expressive range and lyrical phrasing. It continues with Schumann's Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129, and Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1, Op. 136, each offering a unique exploration of the cello's expressive capabilities. Throughout the album, Nelsova is accompanied by some of the world's finest orchestras and pianists, including the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and pianist Gerald Moore. Their collaborative performances are marked by a sense of unity and shared musical vision, resulting in interpretations that are both powerful and nuanced.

This album is a celebration of Zara Nelsova's artistry and her enduring legacy as one of the great cellists of the 20th century. Whether you are a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this collection offers a rich and rewarding listening experience.
