      About Ignaz Pleyel

      Ignaz Joseph Pleyel, born in Ruppersthal, Austria, in 1757, was a prolific and highly regarded composer, music publisher, and piano builder of the Classical period. Recognized as one of the most popular composers in Europe during his time, Pleyel's musical journey took him from his early education in Austria to France, where he spent the majority of his life.
