      About Juliane Banse

      Juliane Banse, born on July 10, 1969, in Tettnang, Germany, is a celebrated soprano renowned for her captivating performances in both opera and concert music. Her journey began with early lessons in violin and ballet, followed by vocal training with Paul Steiner and Ruth Rohner at the Zurich Opera. She further honed her craft under the guidance of Brigitte Fassbaender and Daphne Evangelatos in Munich. Banse's breakthrough came at the age of 20 when she debuted as Pamina in Harry Kupfer's production of "The Magic Flute" at the Komische Oper Berlin.

      With a diverse repertoire, Banse is particularly famed for her interpretations of Mahler's symphonies. Her operatic roles include the title role in Walter Braunfels' "Jeanne d’Arc" and the Feldmarschallin in Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier."
