      Album Details

Jakob Bro's "Pearl River," released in 2007 under Loveland Records, is a captivating journey into the world of contemporary jazz. This nine-track album, spanning 45 minutes, showcases Bro's exceptional guitar skills alongside an impressive ensemble featuring drummer Paul Motian, bassist Ben Street, and saxophonists Mark Turner and Chris Cheek. As Bro's third release as a leader, "Pearl River" stands as a testament to his evolving artistry and his ability to blend post-fusion elements with a deep sense of abstraction and suspension. About Jakob Bro

Jakob Bro is a Danish guitarist and composer who has made a significant mark on the international jazz scene. Born in 1978, Bro's journey began with a switch from trumpet to guitar, inspired by the legendary Jimi Hendrix.
