      Album Details

Dive into the enchanting world of opera with Sir John Pritchard's "OPERA ARIAS," a timeless collection released on January 6, 1994, under the Nar Classical label. This album is a testament to Pritchard's mastery as a conductor, featuring a stunning array of arias that span iconic works from Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" to Verdi's "Ernani," and Puccini's "Madama Butterfly." Each track showcases Pritchard's fluid and responsive direction, accompanied by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and other esteemed ensembles, delivering a rich, immersive experience that highlights the depth and range of operatic artistry.

Pritchard's collaboration with legendary soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa on tracks like "Ombre légère qui suis mes pas" from "Le pardon de Ploërmel" adds a layer of brilliance, making this album a must-listen for opera enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
