      Bob James is a legendary American jazz keyboardist, arranger, and record producer, born on Christmas Day in 1939 in Marshall, Missouri. With a career spanning over five decades, he has left an indelible mark on the jazz world, blending genres like smooth jazz, jazz funk, jazz fusion, and cool jazz. James is perhaps best known as the founder of the acclaimed band Fourplay and for composing the iconic theme song "Angela" for the TV show Taxi.
