      Album Details

Nas's self-titled ninth studio album, commonly referred to as 'Nas' or 'Untitled', is a provocative and politically charged masterpiece that showcases the American rapper's exceptional storytelling ability and lyrical prowess. Released on 15 July 2008 by The Jones Experience, Columbia Records, and The Island Def Jam Music Group, this album was initially intended to be titled 'Nigger', but the controversial nature of the racial epithet led to a change.

The album features a diverse range of production and tackles various social and political issues, including the controversy surrounding the use of the N-word in 'N.I...E.R. (The Slave and the Master)' and a passionate endorsement of Barack Obama in 'Black President'. Nas also takes aim at the right-wing media in 'Sly Fox', demonstrating his ability to craft thought-provoking and unapologetic lyrics.

With its release, 'Nas' became the rapper's fifth number one album, solidifying his position as a leading figure in hip-hop. The album's 14 tracks, including 'Hero', 'You Can't Stop Us Now', and 'Queens Get The Money', showcase Nas's unique flow and ability to blend east coast hip hop with other genres, creating a truly unforgettable listening experience.

Clocking in at 57 minutes, 'Nas' is an album that will resonate with fans of hip-hop and those interested in social commentary. With his signature style and unflinching honesty, Nas has created an album that is both a testament to his skill as a rapper and a reflection of the world around us. 'Nas' is a must-listen for anyone looking to experience the best of hip-hop and discover an artist at the height of his creative powers.
