      Album Details

Blues Control's "My Afterlife Is So Boring II" is a captivating sonic journey released on January 22, 2015, under the NewHive label. This album serves as the original soundtrack to Tara Sinn's multimedia project of the same name, offering a unique blend of space rock and krautrock elements. Clocking in at just 20 minutes, this short but intense release is a testament to Blues Control's ability to create immersive soundscapes in a brief span.

The tracklist is a mix of intriguing titles that spark curiosity, such as "And Then What?", "There's a Bear on the Stairs," and "Lazy Loading Partial State / Nobody Knows I Like the Dead." Each track is a sonic exploration, crafted to accompany the visual and narrative elements of Sinn's project. The album is a collaborative effort, with Blues Control contributing five new pieces of music specifically for this project.

Despite its brief duration, "My Afterlife Is So Boring II" packs a punch, delivering a rich and textured soundscape that is both engaging and thought-provoking. It's a standout piece in Blues Control's discography, showcasing their innovative approach to music and their ability to create compelling soundscapes that resonate long after the final note fades away.

      About Blues Control

Blues Control, the innovative experimental music duo hailing from Queens, New York City, and later based in Philadelphia, consisted of the dynamic pair Russ Waterhouse and Lea Cho. Known for their genre-blending prowess, Blues Control masterfully fused elements of neo-psychedelia, drone, hypnagogic pop, space rock, and krautrock into a sound that was uniquely their own. Their music, characterized by its eclectic and electronic textures, offered listeners a journey through uncharted sonic landscapes. Though they have been on an indefinite hiatus since 2019, their legacy as one of the most original acts in modern music continues to inspire and captivate.
