      About Bram van Sambeek

      Bram van Sambeek, born in 1980, is a renowned Dutch bassoon soloist celebrated for his versatility and virtuosity. His career took off swiftly after his conservatory training, leading him to serve as the principal bassoonist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra from 2002 to 2011. Van Sambeek's prowess on the bassoon has earned him international acclaim, notably becoming the first and only bassoonist to receive the prestigious Nederlandse Muziekprijs in 2009. Beyond his performing career, he shares his expertise as a teacher at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. His discography includes a captivating Bach album, showcasing his technical mastery and musical depth. Whether performing solo or in chamber music settings, Bram van Sambeek continues to push the boundaries of what the bassoon can achieve, captivating audiences with his innovative and expressive playing.
