      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of classical music with Sabine Meyer's exquisite album, "Mozart: Clarinet Concerto." Released on September 13, 2010, under the prestigious EMI label, this collection is a testament to Sabine Meyer's virtuosity and her deep connection with the clarinet.

The album features a captivating selection of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Krommer, spanning a total of nine tracks and a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sabine Meyer, accompanied by the Berliner Philharmoniker and conducted by Claudio Abbado, delivers a mesmerizing performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622, showcasing the full range of the clarinet's expressive capabilities. The concerto is divided into three movements: the lively "Allegro," the serene "Adagio," and the spirited "Rondo. Allegro."

In addition to Mozart's concerto, the album also includes Krommer's Concerto for Two Clarinets No. 1 in E-Flat Major, Op. 35, performed with Sabine Meyer's characteristic elegance and precision. This concerto, too, is presented in three movements: "Allegro," "Adagio," and "Rondo," each offering a unique blend of technical brilliance and emotional depth.

Furthermore, the album features Mozart's Sinfonia concertante for Oboe, Clarinet, Horn, and Bassoon in E-Flat Major, K. 297b. This piece is a delightful showcase of the interplay between different wind instruments, with Sabine Meyer's clarinet taking center stage.

Sabine Meyer's mastery of the clarinet, combined with her sensitive interpretation of these classical masterpieces, makes this album a true gem for any classical music enthusiast. Whether you're a longtime fan of Sabine Meyer or a newcomer to her work, this album is sure to captivate and inspire.
