      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the exquisite artistry of Sabine Meyer with this captivating album, a masterful blend of classical elegance and contemporary innovation. Recorded with the esteemed Berlin Philharmonic under the baton of Claudio Abbado, this collection showcases Meyer's virtuosity and musical depth.

The album opens with Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622, a timeless piece that highlights Meyer's technical prowess and expressive nuance. The concerto's three movements—Allegro, Adagio, and Rondo—offer a journey through Mozart's lyrical genius, each note resonating with clarity and emotion.

Following Mozart, the album presents Debussy's Première Rapsodie in B-Flat Major, an orchestral version that exudes the composer's signature impressionistic charm. This piece, with its rich harmonies and evocative melodies, provides a beautiful contrast to the Mozartian elegance.

The album concludes with Takemitsu's Fantasma/Cantos, a modern masterpiece that blends traditional Japanese elements with contemporary classical music. This intricate and atmospheric composition showcases Meyer's versatility and the orchestra's dynamic range, offering a compelling finale to the album.

Recorded in 1999 and released under Warner Classics, this album is a testament to Sabine Meyer's enduring legacy and her ability to breathe new life into both classical and modern repertoire. With a total duration of 51 minutes, it's a perfect addition to any classical music enthusiast's collection.
