      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical piano with Robert Casadesus's "Mozart, Chopin, Debussy & Ravel: Piano Works." Released on April 26, 2019, under the SWR Classic Archive label, this album is a masterful compilation of 13 tracks that span a little over an hour and eleven minutes. Casadesus, a renowned pianist, brings to life the compositions of four of the most celebrated composers in classical music history.

The album opens with Mozart's "Fantasia in D Minor, K. 397," setting a tone of sophistication and depth. It continues with the three movements of Mozart's "Piano Sonata No. 12 in F Major, K. 332," showcasing Casadesus's technical prowess and interpretive sensitivity. The second half of the album is dedicated to the works of Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel, featuring all four of Chopin's Ballades, three pieces from Debussy's "Images, Book 1, L. 110" recorded live, and selections from Ravel's "Miroirs, M. 43" and "Pictures at an Exhibition."

Robert Casadesus's renditions are marked by a delicate balance of precision and passion, making this album a treasure trove for both casual listeners and aficionados of classical piano. Whether you're a fan of Mozart's intricate compositions, Chopin's romantic ballades, Debussy's impressionistic landscapes, or Ravel's vibrant and colorful works, this album offers a rich and rewarding listening experience.
