      Album Details

Charles Mingus, the legendary bassist, composer, and bandleader, delivers a powerhouse live performance with "Mingus At Monterey." Recorded on October 10, 2025, and released under the Candid label, this album is a vibrant showcase of Mingus' mastery across various jazz genres, including hard bop, bebop, free jazz, and cool jazz.

The album kicks off with an introduction by the late saxophonist Jimmy Lyons, setting the stage for a captivating journey through Mingus' interpretations of Duke Ellington's classics.
