      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical music with Ida Haendel's captivating album, "Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto; Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto." This exquisite collection, set for release on June 13, 2025, under Universal Music Australia Pty. Ltd., showcases Haendel's virtuoso prowess and deep emotional resonance with two of the most beloved violin concertos in the classical repertoire.

The album features six tracks, divided into two distinct concertos. The first three tracks present Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, a work renowned for its lyrical beauty and technical brilliance. Haendel's interpretation brings out the concerto's romanticism and dramatic intensity, from the impassioned Allegro molto appassionato to the delicate Andante and the spirited Allegretto non troppo – Allegro molto vivace.

The latter half of the album is dedicated to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35. This concerto, known for its rich harmonies and virtuosic demands, is rendered with exquisite sensitivity and power by Haendel. The Allegro moderato opens with a sense of grandeur, followed by the tender Canzonetta. Andante, and culminating in the exhilarating Finale. Allegro vivacissimo.

Recorded with the National Symphony Orchestra, this album captures the full scope of Haendel's artistry, offering a profound and engaging listening experience. Whether you're a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, this album is a testament to the enduring power of these masterpieces and the extraordinary talent of Ida Haendel.
