      About Daniel Reuss

      Daniel Reuss, born in 1961 to German parents in the Netherlands, is a renowned conductor celebrated for his exceptional work in the choral realm. His journey began at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of Barend Schuurman. In 1982, Reuss founded the Oude Muziek Koor Arnhem, showcasing his early prowess as a choral conductor. His most significant impact, however, came with Cappella Amsterdam, which he has led since 1990, transforming it into a professional chamber choir of international renown.

      Reuss's repertoire spans a wide range of choral and orchestral works, and he has collaborated with prestigious ensembles and orchestras across Europe, including the Orchestra of the 18th Century, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and the Rundfunkchor Berlin. His recordings have garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, highlighting his ability to bring depth and nuance to both sacred and secular music.

      Beyond his choral work, Reuss has also made a mark in the operatic world and with major orchestras, demonstrating his versatility and mastery as a conductor. His dynamic performances are known for their precision and emotional resonance, making him a sought-after conductor on the global stage.
