      Sussan Deyhim is an Iranian-American composer, vocalist, and performance artist renowned for her unique sonic and vocal language, which is deeply imbued with a sense of ritual and the unknown. Born in Iran in 1958, Deyhim began her artistic journey at the age of thirteen as a member of the national ballet company. Her work transcends traditional boundaries, blending elements of Persian poetry, Sufi mysticism, and contemporary performance art.
