      About Friedrich Kuhlau

      Friedrich Kuhlau, born in Uelzen, Germany, in 1786, was a pivotal figure in Danish music during the late Classical and early Romantic periods. Settling in Denmark in 1810, Kuhlau quickly established himself as a renowned pianist and composer, becoming a central figure of the Danish Golden Age. His most enduring work, "Elverhøj," composed in 1828, is celebrated as the first true work of Danish National Romanticism and remains a beloved piece in Danish cultural history.
