Roderich Kreile, born in Munich in 1956, is a renowned German church musician, choir director, and educator who has left an indelible mark on the world of choral music. His journey began with studies in church music and choral conducting in Munich, leading him to become the Kantor at the Christuskirche in Munich in 1981. Kreile's influence extended beyond performance as he also held teaching positions, sharing his expertise in choral conducting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater from 1989 to 1996.

Kreile's most notable tenure was as the director of the prestigious Dresdner Kreuzchor from 1997 to 2022. Under his leadership, the choir achieved remarkable heights, captivating audiences with their rich, resonant sound and precise harmonies.
