      Album Details

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of chamber music with Márta Gulyás's exquisite album, "Kirchner: Novelletten, Op. 59 / Goetz: Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 1." Released in 2014 under the Hungaroton label, this album is a testament to Gulyás's mastery and the rich heritage of classical compositions.

The album is a beautifully curated collection of works by Theodor Kirchner and Franz Goetz. Kirchner's "Novelletten, Op. 59" is a series of twelve charming and diverse pieces, each with its unique character and mood, ranging from the lively "Allegretto ma non troppo con fuoco" to the serene "Ruhig." These novelletten showcase Kirchner's ability to craft intricate and expressive miniatures that are both technically demanding and emotionally resonant.

Complementing Kirchner's works is Goetz's "Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 1," a four-movement piece that exemplifies the depth and complexity of classical chamber music. The trio's movements, from the dramatic "Langsam - Feurig" to the spirited "Massig rasch - Ziemlich lebhaft," offer a journey through a range of emotions and musical textures.

Márta Gulyás, accompanied by Vilmos Szabadi and Tytus Miecznikowski, brings these compositions to life with her impeccable technique and profound musicality. The ensemble's performance is marked by a seamless blend of individual artistry and collective harmony, making this album a standout in the realm of chamber music.

With a total duration of 1 hour and 8 minutes, this album is a perfect companion for those seeking a moment of tranquility or a deeper connection with the classical music tradition. Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer to chamber music, Márta Gulyás's interpretation of these timeless pieces is sure to captivate and inspire.
